Moving on
Until today I had forgotten about this blog; a time capsule devoted to an old campaign which ran for a bit before I burnt out.
I have since taken up blogging again and can be found lurking here:

And so it begins...
After thirteen years of sitting on my bookshelf gathering dust, I have started to run the awesome Call Of Cthulhu scenario "The Complete Masks Of Nyralthotep".
I am going to chart the groups exploration through this giant campaign and keep this blog updated with their progress. It will also serve as a place for me to document a complete campaign with the whole world looking in.
This first post is really my explanations for what I'm doing.
I always planned to run this legendary RPG adventure and now I feel the time is right to be able to do so.
Its not that I haven't a chance to do so before, but other campaigns have come to the fore and poor old Masks has found itself playing second fiddle.
Originally I planned to play the campaign with the newly released CoC D20, it would give the game a different feel and tone.
The next time I considered running it, was using Trail Of Cthulhu while I am a fan of the system, it was a different concept to what most role playing games are. Many of the staples of the rpg systems are removed and new mechanics are in their place.
Finally, I decided to let the players themselves decide. I was happy to run it using what system they wanted, since they were the ones to drive the action. In the end BRP CoC 5.5 was chosen to power this game.
The next post will begin with a summary of the first few sessions.
